2019 – A Year in Review

2019 was an amazing year for Wentworth Hunt! Our huntsman, Rachel, and our hounds were spectacular! Our masters and staff were spot on and our foxes worked their tails off. All in all, during the fall informal and formal seasons, members were able to enjoy 24 hunts at 9 of our territories, including our new territory at Swan Brook Equestrian Center.

2019 was special in many ways. We participated in joint meets at Green Mountain Hounds, Norfolk Hounds, Old North Bridge Hounds, and of course the All New England Joint Meet.

We offered a Junior Hunt Clinic at Rest and Be Thankful Farm, and hosted very fun hunter paces at Fine Nest Farm and Tuckaway Farm/Powder Major. And we had a great turnout, and many nice placings, at the New England Hunter Trials at Bradley Palmer State Park.

Let’s not forget our spring activities including our informal spring hunts, the Booli Selmayr clinic, our Landowners Appreciation & Derby Party, and our participation in the New England Hound Show and the Virginia Hound Show.

Wentworth Hunt’s 2019 season ended with a bang at Rest and Be Thankful Farm. It was a great hunt to end a great season!
