Who We Are
The Wentworth Hunt is one of ten recognized hunts in New England, starting its first hunt in 1976 as a drag pack. Foxhunting at Wentworth consists of laying scent for a simulated fox hunt. Our “hunt” season takes place primarily during the fall months after the field crops have been harvested. We remain active during our off-season with training our hounds and offering fun riding and social activities to help keep our members engaged and connected.

- To bring together people interested in the sport of foxhunting, preserve the traditions and standards of the sport, and share and inspire a love of the outdoors and nature.
Through our social media, mailing lists, riding activities, and social events, we strive to:
- Encourage individuals to embrace the joy of foxhunting, whether as a rider, unmounted follower, or spectators and social members
- Showcase the skills of our beloved foxhounds and the hard work of the members who train them
- Communicate to value open space for recreation, outdoor learning, and the protection and preservation of wildlife habitats and ecosystems
As part of our commitment to our goals, we
- Support land conservation groups
- Work closely with the New Hampshire Horse Council
- Provide educational opportunities for junior members and pony clubs
